Reference Check
The following questions are asked to each team leader or module owner who has worked with the volunteer who we are considering supporting. The questions are meant to isolate how long a person has worked on Mozilla, how critical have the contributions been to the project, and how collaborative the person is.
• How long have you worked with or known of the volunteer?
• What areas is (s)he working on?
• Would you consider him or him a dedicated volunteer to Mozilla?
• Has the volunteer’s work ethic, commitment and contributions added to Mozilla's mission of providing innovation and choice on the Web?
• Can you comment on the quality of the volunteer’s work? (High quality, but low quantity can be very valuable to the project.)
• Can you comment on the collegiality of the volunteer? Has their attitude been collaborative, positive and fun to work with?
• If we were to support this person, does it represent a highly leveraged investment for this program? Please describe.
