Mozilla Festival 2012: ReMo
A yearly festival with hundreds of passionate people exploring the Web, learning together, and making things that can change the world.
Making, Freedom and the Web
November 9 - 11, 2012 | #mozfest
London, UK | Ravensbourne
ReMo Roles
You will get the chance to attend the event for free and be part of our great Mozfest community, but be warned... these positions will all require you to interact with many a stranger. All of whom have the potential to blow your mind with awesomeness!
Check-out the ReMo roles below and fill-in the form to register. NB: You must be a Mozilla Rep to register via this form.
Facilitator
A facilitator should be someone who is looking to run a session or two but primarily focus on being a Mozilla Rep, and help with other roles rather than a session leader at the festival. For more information on running sessions please see Mozilla Festival 2012: Submit a Proposal. A ReMo Facilitator should also attend sessions that are related to their skill sets and help the session leader as much as possible, encourage those attending sessions to continue contributing after the festival, and hopefully contribute to Mozilla as well.
Contributor Garage Roles
These guys will be manning the Contributor Garage at the festival. This year the Contributor Garage will be split into three.
- The Contributor Garage
- The Webmaker Workshop
- The Wandering Garage
Contributor Mechanic
In this role you will man the Contributor Garage, where you will answer many questions about Mozilla, as well as help people with SUMO type questions, and encourage people to get involved with Mozilla on a more permanent basis.
Webmaker Guru
You will need all your web making talent for this one. Teach people about the way of the webmaker, and how to use the new Mozilla Webmaker tools to their full potential. Not only will you teach people the way of the webmaker but you will also aim to produce webmaker makers... so you will be a webmaker maker maker!
Roadside Assistance
You will not be in one place, your job is to seek out those who are not doing anything at the end of breaks and just before sessions and help those people get involved. Get them to a session thats just right for them, talk with people about Mozilla, get peoples synapses firing, and join in with a few sessions.
