- Into February, through a series of launching back-to-back (global)hackjams we will select our favourite idea (with kids driving of course), brainstorming together, prototype together and have our project ready for contribution/forkable through Github ( 'how to get involved' documented) in time for March 11th Open Education Week.
The tech comes mostly from you (the mentors), but through exchange with the youth ".- NOTES & COMMENTS

What's next for Planet Webmaker? (Matt + Ross)- Planet Webmaker is an aggregated blog for the Webmaker community:
- <a href="http://planet.webmaker.org/">http://planet.webmaker.org/</a>
- <a href="http://planet.webmaker.org/">http://planet.webmaker.org/</a>
- This quarter we'd like to:
- Tidy it up. Remove inactive users. Make sure all feeds up to date, etc.
- Make improvements. Make it more readable, more discoverable.
- Be more amibitious. Think about how we can increase the number of contributors. Invite more community contributos. Eventually turn it into the "Huffington Post" of Webmaking :)
- How to Get Added to Planet Webmaker
- List of all current feeds currently on Planet Webmaker

- 2) provide the following:
- a) your name. the author of your posts, whether individual or organisation.
- b) your feed URL. The URL of your blog's RSS feed. You may want to use a TAGGED FEED so that only relevant posts appear. (See this post for more details: <a href="http://mzl.la/Planet_Mozilla_HOWTO">http://mzl.la/Planet_Mozilla_HOWTO</a> )
- c) your twitter handle or email.
- Ross will process additions and updates each Monday. If you've already been in touch, please ensure the correct details appear in this bug:

- Q1 Wishlist for Planet Webmaker
- Draft a Planet Webmaker roadmap. Matt's putting together a roadmap for Planet Webmaker and how we do news and community updates for Webmaker
- QUESTIONS
- What are the guidelines for who should post on Planet Webmaker?
- Good question! We need to discuss and draft those up. Perhaps using Planet Mozilla's process as a starting point.
- What's a "tagged feed?" /
- How do I make sure only the right stuff from my blog appears on Planet Webmaker?
- You may write about lots of different stuff on your personal blog -- not all of which you want to appear on Planet Webmaker.
- We use tagged feeds to help with this. So that only posts that you tag with "Mozilla" or "Webmaker," for example, show up on Planet Webmaker.
- “How do I figure out what the URL for my tagged feed is?”
- If you’re using WordPress, there’s helpful documentation on this here: <a href="http://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Feeds#Finding_Your_Feed_URL">http://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Feeds#Finding_Your_Feed_URL</a>
- A “Mozilla” tagged feed might look something like this: <a href="http://openmatt.wordpress.com/tag/mozilla-2/feed/">http://openmatt.wordpress.com/tag/mozilla-2/feed/</a>
- Should I be posting to Planet Mozilla as well? What's the different between Planet Mozilla and Planet Webmaker?
- Planet Mozilla = the entire Mozilla universe. Everything under the sun. If you're a Mozilla community member or staff, you should definitely be posting here.
- Planet Webmaker = just the Webmaker project.
- How do I get added to Planet Mozilla?
- What are the guidelines for who should post on Planet Webmaker?
- 1) Read or subscribe to Planet Webmaker. <a href="http://planet.webmaker.org/">http://planet.webmaker.org/</a>
- Feeds: Atom: <a href="http://planet.webmaker.org/atom.xml">http://planet.webmaker.org/atom.xml</a>
- RSS: <a href="http://planet.webmaker.org/rss20.xml">http://planet.webmaker.org/rss20.xml</a>
- 2) Apply to get added to Planet Webmaker. Writing about Webmaker on a regular basis? Add your feed.
