Promote Firefox OS on your Campus!
Take the Mobilizer Challenge!
Do you want to be the first to know about Firefox OS on your campus? Want to have fun with people like you and help make history? You can become part of a global community committed to protecting the open Web and change the future of mobile by becoming a part of the Mobilizer movement!
Mobilizers are tech/geek enthusiasts that are committed to spreading Firefox OS, Mozilla's new mobile product. Mobilizers receive periodic missions asking them to do a simple action to teach others about the new Firefox OS. Mobilizers will also attend, assist or host events in their market about once a month. Learn about Team Mobilizer in your region here. If we are not currently recruiting Mobilizers in your country, please stayed tuned for more Mobilizer teams starting soon around the world.
If you live in Brazil, Colombia, Poland, Spain, Venezuela, or Mexico, here are the ways in which you can get involved today as a Mobilizer:
Find Mobilizers in your Country
Your first step in promoting Firefox OS is to join the Mobilizer Group in your country is to join their Facebook group. Once you do this, please find out more information about their activities on their wiki page.

- List of Mobilizer Leads
- A Description of Launch Package Contents will be available in mid-June!
- Resources to promote your event (flyers, posters, etc) will be available in late May!
Next Steps
Hosting a Mobilizer Training at your school? Here are the hosting instructions that will help you have a successful training - and recruit new Mobilizers!
Help get more people promoting Firefox OS
Let others at your university know about the opportunity to get involved by getting the word out over your website, blog, or social media. Please be sure and use the hash-tags used by your country's Mobilizer Group and include relevant hash-tags as they relate to your university!
Host an App Hack Day
Are you a developer or want to encourage others to work on HTML5 apps? Host an 'App Hack Day' in order to get developers to start hacking on apps for the Firefox Marketplace. The event is easy to host and will allow you to play a large part in raising awareness about Firefox OS and HTML5. Hopefully by the end of the event you will also get to see some amazing apps from developers in your region!
All of the resources for the App Hack Day can be found in the 'Toolkit' section of the wiki. If you decide to host an 'App Hack Day,' please create a Facebook event and advertise the event out to other Ambassadors [here].
More Ways to Promote Firefox OS on Campus
In addition to participating in the Mobilizer program and hosting a Hack Day or User Event, there are several easy ways in which you can promote Firefox OS on your campus. For ideas and next steps please see here

Want to create a personalized affiliate button just for your campus so that you can promote Firefox to those at your university? If so, please follow these directions and you'll be on your way to leading the movement at your school! (More information about the Affiliates program is available here.)
A list of schools that currently have an Affiliate Button (as well as their number of downloads on a monthly basis) can be seen here!
Each month, the Club with the largest number of downloads will receive t-shirts for their Firefox Club. For more information about how to participate, the contest rules, as well as tips on how to promote your affiliate button, please see here.
Participate in our Open Badge Design Contest
We will be hosting a Firefox Student Ambassador Open Badge Design Contest from June 1-July 1, 2013.
The Firefox Student Ambassador Badge will be used to identify Firefox Student Ambassadors online and will be awarded to those who successfully register for the program and complete the student quiz.
For more information about the Open Badges Design Contest, please see here.
Student 'App of the Month'
Each month, the Student Working Group will determine the theme for an app that would help improve or simplify the lives of students! These theme will be announced at the beginning of the month in our newsletter and Ambassadors will be asked to submit their HTML5 apps that align with this theme to be considered by the last day of the month.
In the following newsletter, Ambassadors will have the opportunity to cast one vote on the best app (as it relates to that month's theme). The app that obtains the highest number of votes will be featured in the next month's newsletter and receive a Very Splendid Gear Package.
Each month, the Club with the largest increase in daily users for their Persona will receive t-shirts for their Firefox Club. For more information about how to participate, please see here.
