Tools and Infrastructure
- Taos/Performance tools - Working on the Talos try server. The buildbot part if mostly working. Working on getting baselines for Mac and Linux. Added Twinopen (Txul) to talos slaves. Working on getting Talos running for Vista.
Community * A special Seneca test day was held on Tues Oct 9th. This was lead by Anthony Hughes, an Intern from last summer.
- There was also our regular Testday on Friday, Oct 12th. The topic was accessibility! [timk, tomcat]
- Met with Emily Chen and Alfred Peng from Sun China. They integrate and test FFx with Solaris and work with the Solaris and Java open source projects. We talked about several topics. They have a University outreach program where they have ~100 "ambassadors" in ~50 universities. These are mostly in China, but a few are in other countries, including the US. They have about 400 Solaris related test cases in their instance of Litmus. We talked about what works and doesn't work with test days, bug days and building the community support for testing.[timr, jay]

- Started pulling together the promotion and message around JavaScript 2, in earnest.
- Firefox 3 documentation continues to move along swimmingly.
- Working with IT on getting a development server built for beginning work on the next wave of improvements to the MDC site.

- Prototype for AMO API should be up this week

Foundation Updates
- Grants and related activities
- Steve Lee posted a report on the current status of the Jambu project being funded by the Foundation.
- CAs and related issues
- Frank Hecker is taking over CA-related tasks from Gerv Markham, and is now the default assignee on CA-related bugs.
- Frank filed bug 399214 to start work on updating the Mozilla CA Certificate Policy to address Extended Validation (EV) certificates. (See also the discussion in m.d.t.crypto.)
- Other
- Zak Greant attended and represented the Foundation at the OpenMind 2007 and MindTrek 2007 conferences.
- David Boswell attended the Legal Summit for Software Freedom.
- Upcoming activities
- Frank will be in Washington DC Friday evening October 19 to attend a G3Ict event.
- Frank will be in Toronto on October 25 and 26 to attend the Seneca College Free Software and Open Source Symposium (FSOSS 2007).
