Martijn nominated Steve England <steve.england@gmail.com> for helping out with finding the cause of the branch crasher, bug 317283.

Steve was able to get to the problem by trying out hourly builds he got Peter van der Woude's awesome hourly build archive.

Development Updates

Gecko 1.9

• 14 Beta Blockers Remaining. 10 have patches!
• We'll continue the freeze until all beta blockers have been resolved.
• Reminder: You don't need approval to land a beta blocker.
• Reminder: All approvals that have yet to land will be reset tonite at 11:59PM PDT. Please see this page for tree policy and links to discussion on this event.

IT

• Stage migration - test machine up and ready.
• 2.0.0.8 release, more users, more load. Looking at ways to continue to scale with the growth.
• Working to bring up china and denmark office.

QA

Test execution

• Extension Performance Testing. Tested ten most top extensions. Mostly looking for memory leaks. All looked good except Fotofox and Glubble. This was a manual test. In the future we will look at automating the process.

• phpcalendar service: Created and checked in a calendar service that people can use for protocol handing tests. [ctalbert]
• Looking into Windmill and selenium for improved MoCo web site testing. [stephend, ctalbert]

Marketing/PR

• Mozilla & Firefox messaging documents released
• Operation Firefox contest is going live today

• Sumo (support.mozilla.com)
  • Discussions on how to implement formal feedback loops [1]
  • Upgrading TikiWiki tomorrow
  • Completing milestone 0.1 this week.
