Introduction

Where do you go if you want to get better at your web skills? How do you even know what's important to learn? The Web Literacy Standard comprises a map of competencies and skills that Mozilla and our community of stakeholders believe are important to pay attention to when getting better at reading, writing and participating on the web. Roadmap

February 2013 - Work begins
February-April 2013 - Community calls working on the framework
26 April 2013 - Soft launch of first draft of Web Literacy Standard
26 July 2013 - Request For Comments (RFC): milestone release of Standard
May-September 2013 - Feedback and iteration
October 2013 - 'Code freeze' to finalise v1.0 of the Standard
25-27 October 2013 - v1.0 of the Web Literacy Standard launched at the Mozilla Festival
November 2013 onwards - Organizations start to adopt the Standard
2014 - Ongoing revision/updates to the Standard
