Goals

This v1 release of Firefox Hub is focused on:

• Implementing the initial feature set and API
• Supporting new RSS feed panels in about:home
• Shipping two RSS feed add-ons for Firefox Hub
• Introducing the feature to developers

Deliverables

• Firefox Hub MVP feature set
• Add-on allowing users to quickly add the partner feed panel to about:home
• Add-on allowing users to add arbitrary RSS feeds as about:home panels

Justification

Firefox Hub is in support of the following Firefox goals:

• Add services to our product lines
• Get Firefox on a growth trajectory
• Invest in sustainability

Quality criteria

• Minimal user-perceptible performance hit
• Minimal increase in APK size
