This is a working document. I wanted us to have a shared understanding of what our definition of apps are, this is my first attempt. Please add your own definitions and comments below. Thanks!

What is an Mozilla Marketplace App?

• has their own navigation in the UI (not relying on the chrome for nav)
• has a native look and feel
• remembers the user's state - stay logged in unless the user logged out
• synced in the cloud, but only gets installed to the device when the users asks for it from the cloud
• works well on at least two of the following device types - phones, tablets, desktops/laptops
• uses one of the following, but doesn't have to:
  • accelerometer
  • camera
  • offline storage
  • microphone
  • geolocation

What is NOT a Mozilla Marketplace App?

• a website
