The Mozilla Reps program involves learning about tools at your disposal that will make it easier for you to request budgets and swag for your events, to find templates for presentations, flyers to print etc... It also involves becoming familiar with SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) to ensure consistency and ease. When a Mozilla Rep first joins the program, a mentor helps him/her get started and get familiar with these various tools and SOPs. The mentor is also available for any type of guidance or support along the way. Mozilla Reps are strongly encouraged to liaise regularly with their mentor, just to keep them up to date with their activities but also to stay up to date with latest Mozilla Rep news.
Mentorship is an essential component of the Mozilla Reps program. It is the backbone of the program. Mentors decide who to accept into the program and ensure that their "mentees" (Reps) fulfill their responsibilities.
