-Taking these dimensions literally and going with 200px x 150px (4:3) previews doesn't quite work, as there's no room for 12 previews.  In fact, I couldn't really get the 4:3 ratio to work at all for the background, assuming 12 thumbnails go on top of it.  Here's literally 800x600:
