In my opinion I do not think to have flags is so offensive. A country is a country an 'local' politics have nothing to do with downloading a program. | |||
I feel that by clicking on map people can very easily find their language (better than a list), but mostly it is a better marketing tool. Another option is to have a globe and by clinking in your region (america, asia, europe, africa, australia) you will be redirected to the reginional website where you can find your list of languages (which i shorter that all languages). | |||
If we have click per country of course all languages that are localized and are spoken in that country must be listed. | |||
Also why is it so bad to have a link in the corner saying: | |||
"you are in [europe]/[Finland], click and follow me for you language". People can always choose to download the english version from the main site. | |||
