This test assumes you've installed a current version of Thunderbird, either 1.5 or higher | |||
1. Go to http://www.mozilla.org/projects/calendar/lightning/download.html and download the appropriate Lightning (a XPI file) for your platform. | |||
2. Start Thunderbird. Go to Tools | Extensions and click the "Install" button in the resulting extensions dialog. | |||
3. In the resulting file picker, locate the XPI file of Lightning, then hit Open. | |||
4. Click "Install Now" in the resulting Software Installation dialog to install Lightning. | |||
5. Quit and restart Thunderbird. | |||
