The Blocklist Ping (updates to browser including security updates and addon related notices) is sent once a day.
How do the other telemetry measurements vary based on whether or not Firefox is the default browser?
For installations where Firefox is not the default, how often is Firefox used?: how many days will it take till they see security updates?
If we collect default browser status, we can segment other measurements into those who have set Firefox as default and those who have not. Other measurements whose values strongly correlate with negative default status may indicate focus points for improving Firefox. For example, if most  users of devices with small memory capacity chose another browser as default, we can make more users happy by reducing memory consumption.

Is the browser uptime for the 'non default' users long enough for Firefox to send the AMO/BU ping: if isn't  the ping wont go through and they wont see the security update.
The value of collecting this data point is in helping us focus our efforts to make users of Firefox more satisfied with their experience.

Is Firefox not the default on 'low hardware' installations e.g. installations with low memory. This might indicate that users with constrained hardware do not choose to use Firefox as their primary browser. Firefox could be improved to work across a variety of hardware profiles.
