Prior to February, 2013, the MDN development team worked in two week development periods called Sprints.

Before each Sprint starts, the team decides on a number of features to build based on ideas and priorities provided of MDN users. After the team has decided on what features to build, it breaks those features down into smaller tasks. The team works on these tasks until all of the features are completed at the end of the Sprint.
