| Since the last [[Summit2010 | Mozilla Summit (2010)]], over 700 paid staff and thousands of volunteers have joined our ranks. We’ve also launched Firefox OS, a new kind of product that will play a defining role in the future of the Project.
| |
|
| |
| Rapid growth and big change have created an opportunity (and a need) for the whole Mozilla organism to come together. Aligning on our past, present and future state will enable us to have the greatest possible impact on the open Web. The Mozilla Summit will act as the catalyst for this work.
| |
|
| |
| Specifically, the purpose of the Mozilla Summit is to:
| |
|
| |
| * Celebrate and reflect on all that we have accomplished
| |
| * Align on who we are now, who we want to be going forward, and where we’re headed as a Project
| |
| * Reinvigorate and reinvent the ways we work together as a growing, complex, globally diverse organization
| |
|
| |
|
| |
| We will use a multi-city model for our event to reflect the complex global nature of Mozilla. We will also use this event as a platform to develop, hack, and test tools that enable the shared experience and global collaboration vital to our future success.
| |
| The specific structure of the Summit (content/agenda) will be determined as part of the [https://community.etherpad.mozilla.org/summit-planning-assembly-nominees Summit Planning Assembly] in June.
