Brendan Eich is Chief Architect of the Mozilla project.  Brendan is widely recognized for his key role in the development of the Web as the lead technologist for Mozilla.  Among his numerous contributions to web innovations, Brendan invented JavaScript (ECMAScript) in 1995, the most widely used programming language on the Internet.  Brendan co-founded the mozilla.org project in 1998.
