Much of the planning goes on in the [https://wiki.mozilla.org/MDN/Development/drivers mdn-drivers] mailing list; you should join if you want to help prioritize the development work that happens on MDN, including the redesign.
== Testing & Feedback ==
Please see our [[/Testing|Testing]] page.
==Help with new site content==
We have some lovely new templates for landing pages, and we need help creating these pages! -
if you'd like to own a section of the site - making sure the pages are thoroughly tested, provide input and advive on how to apply or improve the design ,etc, please email Ali (aspivak@mozilla.com).
Pages need to be tagged for the new search functionality  - the guide to doing this will be published shortly
Pages need to have Quicklinks added (see the page design for examples of quicklinks)  - the guide to doing this will be published shortly

==Input into tasks & planning==
There is an etherpad that has been created to record tasks to be completed before launch. This list will be used to create a scoped and prioritized project plan for launch: [https://etherpad.mozilla.org/redesign-tasks Final Set of Redesign Tasks]

== Testing & Feedback ==
We need beta testers to give feedback on the design and help test the site content with the new look and feel. Your input is crucial for this redesign to be a success!
Some things to know/do BEFORE you enable your account for beta testing!
The initial pass of the design we are beta testing is on the PRODUCTION site but is hidden behind waffle flags.
This means that when you are enabled as a beta tester you will see the whole MDN site in the new design, warts and all. This is good for testing, but could be bad for your day-to-day productivity. You might want to consider creating a secondary account on MDN just to use for testing so you don't have to see partially implemented design as you are trying to work  on the site.
To become a beta tester:
*Send an email to "dev-mdn" <dev-mdn@lists.mozilla.org> and request to be made a beta tester.
*You will receive a reply notifying you that your account has been authorized to view the redesigned site on production.
*Login to MDN and start testing!
*Give feedback on the beta testing wiki page: [https://wiki.mozilla.org/index.php?title=MDN/Development/Redesign/BetaTest Best Test Wiki]
*You can also use this bug form to report any problems or suggestions (just fill out the summary and description): http://mzl.la/submit-mdn-redesign-blocker
If you also want to test the new search function, in your email to "dev-mdn" <dev-mdn@lists.mozilla.org> include that you want to also enable Elastic Search on your MDN account.
*We have a separate bug form to report any problems or suggestions for Elastic Search (just fill out the summary and description): http://mzl.la/submit-mdn-elastic-search-blocker
