WHERE: irc.mozilla.org #testday
We'll be running tests and triaging bugs to find potential blockers and regressions for Session Store in Firefox 4.0. Please see a section below for more information regarding each specific activity.
Triaging Unconfirmed Bugs
IMPORTANT: You'll need a bugzilla account to complete this activity.
Unconfirmed bugs are bugs which have yet to be confirmed that they are actually issues with Firefox. Triaging these bugs is as simple as reading the bug and following the steps reported.
If you can reproduce the bug:
- post a comment in the bug with the following information:
- the version of Firefox
- operating system
- steps you used to reproduce the bug
Build identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; rv:2.0b8pre) Gecko/20101130 Firefox/4.0b8pre Steps to Reproduce: 1. ... 2. ... 3. ...
- mark the bug as NEW
- add "[session-store-testday]" to the whiteboard field
- if you think the bug should block the release of Firefox 4.0, contact a moderator on IRC
If you can't reproduce the bug:
- post a comment in the bug stating that you cannot reproduce it
- mark the bug as RESOLVED WORKSFORME
- add "[session-store-testday]" to the whiteboard field
I'm unable to reproduce this bug with today's nightly. Resolving WORKSFORME.
If you need more information to reproduce the bug:
- ask a moderator on IRC to help you reproducing the bug
- comment on the bug that you cannot reproduce the bug as described
- mark the bug as RESOLVED INCOMPLETE
- add "[session-store-testday]" to the whiteboard field
I'm unable to reproduce this bug as described. Reporter, please provide more details if you can reproduce this bug with the latest nightly. Resolving INCOMPLETE.
The Bugs: http://bit.ly/session-store-unconfirmed
Points:
- 1: If you resolve a bug
- 2: If you reproduce a bug
- 5: If it turns out your bug is a blocker
Triaging Fixed Bugs
IMPORTANT: You'll need a bugzilla account to complete this activity.
Fixed bugs are bugs which have recently been fixed but need to be verified in a recent version of Firefox. Triaging these bugs is as simple as reading the bug and following the steps reported.
If you can reproduce the bug:
- post a comment in the bug with the following information:
- the version of Firefox
- operating system
- steps you used to reproduce the bug
Build identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; rv:2.0b8pre) Gecko/20101130 Firefox/4.0b8pre Steps to Reproduce: 1. ... 2. ... 3. ...
- mark the bug as REOPENED
- add "[session-store-testday]" to the whiteboard field
- you should contact a moderator on IRC as this is probably a regression and potentially a blocker for Firefox 4.0.
If you can't reproduce the bug:
- post a comment in the bug stating that you verified the bug is fixed using a particular version of Firefox
- mark the bug as VERIFIED
- add "[session-store-testday]" to the whiteboard field
Build identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; rv:2.0b8pre) Gecko/20101130 Firefox/4.0b8pre Verified FIXED.
If you need more information to reproduce the bug:
- ask a moderator on IRC to help you reproducing the bug
- comment on the bug that you need more information to verify the fix
- add "[session-store-testday]" to the whiteboard field
Is there an easy way for me to verify this bug is fixed? Any advice here would be greatly appreciated.
The Bugs: http://bit.ly/session-store-resolved
Points:
- 1: If you verify a bug
- 2: If you reopen a bug
- 5: If your reopened bug is a blocker
