Q2 overview:

Overarching Web Prod/Websites Q2 Goal:

Create web content and tools to support the Fx OS consumer launch and related marketing campaigns within required timelines.

Supporting deliverables:

  • Build and publish Fx OS consumer marketing content on mozilla.org, including newsletter sign-up to be notified when phone is available in users' countries
  • Redesign the Firefox family product pages on mozilla.org to better communicate the Firefox brand story.
  • Launch redesigned Mozillians.org homepage and profile design and integrate with the badges project.
  • Launch student ambassador's sign-up form and newsletter
  • Rearchitect the Snippet Service: Implement using the playdoh technology stack, enable easier campaign creation and management.


Other Q2 Deliverables

  • Migrate everything out of legacy mozilla.org that does not require engineering of a new publishing workflow/system.
  • Decide if content should be deleted, moved to another website, or built in Bedrock.
  • Align organizational and website goals with web analytic metrics and reporting.
  • Test new UI designs for /firstrun to improve Fx desktop ADIs and learn how browser downloaders are influenced by /firstrun.
  • Test new variations of Firefox download buttons and learn what works best on what pages.
  • Mozilla.org homepage: Review homepage performance against stakeholder expectations and plan improvements as needed.
  • Aurora download flow: Complete technical and UI improvements to the Aurora download flow.
