Major Areas
This is our last release where we'll be accepting features, so that's what we're focusing on. A status whiteboard annotation [b3ux] is being used to indicate that a bug has a non-trivial user experience effect. We'd like to land [b3ux] bugs as early as we can so that we can iterate as much as we need to given user feedback. Work is underway to map out a (1-2 week) milestone schedule to help us avoid a big mess of landings at the end of the release.
Milestones
( All dates use time of 23:59 PDT )
In the interest of making sure that all our [b3ux] bugs land in an orderly manner (rather than having a bunch of stuff crash land or slip at the last second), the remainder of the 3.0b3 coding cycle has been split up into 6 weekly milestones:
- [m1] - 2009-03-24
- [m2] - 2009-03-31
- [m3] - 2009-04-07
- [m4] - 2009-04-14
- [m5] - 2009-04-21
- [m6] - 2009-04-28 (day of slushy string freeze)
All [b3ux] bugs should also be annotated with a milestone (e.g. [b3ux][m1]) in the status whiteboard so that they can be tracked as an ordered list, by milestone.
