How to join this l10n team
Seven steps for newcomers to learn how to join your l10n team. To help localize Mozilla products and websites into Romanian:
- Introduce yourself to the Mozilla Romania community by emailing the mailing list.
- Create a Pootle account to submit translation suggestions.
- Contact Ioana Chiorean at ioana[DOT]chiorean[AT]gmail[DOT]com, Cristian Silaghi at cristian[DOT]silaghi[AT]mozilla[DOT]ro and Raul Malea at raul[DOT]malea[AT]gmail[DOT]com. Include your Pootle username.
- Study the localization and translation guide for Romanian and use the correct diacritics and punctuation marks (ă, ș, ț, î, â, „” «» etc.). We use ș and ț with comma, not cedilla. Be careful!
- Become familiar with translation reference tools, like Pootle and Transvision, to know how to provide translations that are consistent with the existing translations.
- After you've submitted translation suggestions, follow up with Cristian and Raul to get feedback on your contributions.
- If you find bugs in the existing translation, please file a bug here.
