Releases
Thunderbird's release schedule tracks (but not strictly**) follows the ESR release schedule of Firefox. You can find links to the schedule (with an ESR column), release notes and other release information, at RapidRelease/Calendar.
'** We ship when the release is ready based on testing and other factors, not on a date certain. So where you see dates take that with a grain of salt - because we will lag dates by some number of days or weeks. Thus you will rarely see us ship per a published date. If you are not seeing the newest version at the Thunderbird home page do not worry, it is because it is just not yet ready for release.

Upcoming releases
Thunderbird gets new features and bug fixes as volunteers have time to work on them and fix them. There are no schedules for features or specific fixes that can be communicated to users. But you can get newer features as they become available in the beta mentioned above.
