To make translations, we use Pontoon (https://bitbucket.org/mozilladanmark/mozilla-dk/wiki/Vejledning%20til%20overs%C3%A6ttelse%20p%C3%A5%20Pontoon) for all projects except Firefox. For Firefox, we use a Text editor, HG and SVN (guide). We use Bitbucket for proof reading

Mozilla Hindi l10n Team

How to join this l10n team

1. Any new contributor wants to join Hindi, can join mailing lists of Hindi Mailing List and also join Mozilla L10N

2. Introduce yourself on the mailing list explaining why you wants to contribute by writing in Hindi l10n.

3. Hindi language community would assess their translation skills and accordingly decide the further plan.

4. We also divide work according to the load we have, say somebody works on Firefox, somebody on Focus for Android
and so on.

5. Every contributor discuss with other members on the mailing list whenever he or she faces any issue.

Hindi localization of different products of Mozilla are being done thorugh Pontoon. So please register on pootle, pontoon
 and contact the coordinator

Translation Memory

Mozilla Hindi Team stress on the need of using more memory for translation. It makes translation more consistent and it cosumes time
 as well. The files on Pontoon can be translated through lot of offline tools eg Lokalize, Virtaal, poedit etc.

Style Guide

Style guides define the standard against which we determine a translation's quality.They contain rules that are both defined by Mozilla and by Mozilla's localization communities on how to best translate text in Mozilla products, websites, and other projects. Style guides are used to both translate and evaluate a translation's quality. By following these rules, a translator has a better chance of producing a high quality translation that represents Mozilla values and culture.

Before starting to localize the Mozilla products, be sure to read the style guide for Nepali L10n from here.

Nepali (ne-NP)

Nepali is official language of Nepal. It is also spoken in some parts of South Asia.

We are currently focused on Firefox (Browser) Localization and our goal for mid-2016 is to provide the community with fully localized Mozilla Firefox in Nepali.

We use Pontoon to localize Firefox, Firefox for Android, Thunderbird and other web content.

Style Guide

Check our community's localization guide (in Serbian) where you will learn basics of Pontoon plaftorm, how we translate specific words and terms, gramm rules, etc.

Translation Memory

1. Transvision is useful in several situations, for example to check if wrong strings belong to the software or an add-on, identify in which file a particular string is saved or check how an English string is localized (this is extremely important for SUMO articles).
2. Pontoon's Terminology displays matches from various services: internal translation memory, Mozilla Transvision, open source translation memory, Microsoft terminology and machine translation.
3. Mikroknjiga's online dictionary can be very helpful in situations when you are not sure how to translate something.

Our members maintain GitHub repository for Serbian community, which holds informations about curent and future projects, plans for hackathons, out design style files, etc.

How to join this l10n team

We welcome all new localizers and contributors. Being a localizer at Mozilla is fun and gives you great power. But with great power there must also come — great responsibility! It's not only important to start a localization project, but to also keep it up to date.

How to join this l10n team

1. Any new contributor wants to join Tamil, can join mailing lists of Tamil Mailing List and also join Mozilla L10N

2. Introduce yourself on the mailing list explaining why you wants to contribute by writing in Tamil l10n.

3. Tamil language community would assess their translation skills and accordingly decide the further plan.

4. We also divide work according to the load we have, say somebody works on Firefox, somebody on Thunderbird and so on.

5. Every contributor discuss with other members on the mailing list whenever he or she faces any issue.
