The MDN community meeting takes place in the #mdn channel on irc.mozilla.org at 10 AM PDT (17:00 UTC). See the meeting time in your time zone. It's open to anyone that would like to participate, so please feel free to join in!

  • Florian will draft a blog post (with help from Ali) about improving participation with doc status pages and the Getting Started page.(DONE: [Making MDN contribution opportunities visible])
  • Jean-Yves will write a role description for Localization Leader. (DONE: [Localization driver role])
  • Jean-Yves will send his current blog post to Janet for possibly publishing on about:community. (TBD)
  • Janet and Jeremie will look into video-conferencing/remote-participation for the Learning Area meeting in London. (TBD)
  • Jeremie will remind everybody to tweet about helping with MDN accessibility docs on Global Accessibility Awareness Day, May 15. (MISSED)
  • Sheppy will investigate giving user-banning permission to topic drivers and localization leaders, and file a bug if necessary. (TBD)

New/Continued

  • Jean-Yves will send his current blog post to Janet for possibly publishing on about:community.
  • Janet and Jeremie will look into video-conferencing/remote-participation for the Learning Area meeting in London. Figure out what room we're meeting in, and share the connection info for that room.
  • Sheppy will investigate giving user-banning permission to topic drivers and localization leaders, and file a bug if necessary.
  • Sheppy will send an abstract of his Open Help talk to the organizer.

Community

  • (jms) Learning Area meeting (with WebMaker folks), May 28-29 in London. Looking into Vidyo for sessions. https://etherpad.mozilla.org/MDN-Webmaker-meetup
  • (sheppy) Will be speaking at the Open Help conference in Cincinnati in June.
  • (jms) MDN/DevRel training as part of "MozCamp Beta India", June 21-22 in Bangalore.

Content

  • (teoli) KumaScript errors almost eradicated, in *all* locales. If you see some, try to fix it or ping us on IRC to look at them
  • (teoli) Translating zones home page: we need help in all locales! Contact teoli to coordinate! Most of the work is 30'-1hour!

Kuma

  • MDN is having performance problems caused by runaway jobs. This is affecting rendering, and sometimes saving. Moving pages is disabled for now. Also, do not attempt to delete any pages (which only admins can do anyway).
